SAINTS FALL TO CRUSADERS

BELMONT, NC:  The Belmont Abbey Crusaders (3-5-1, 2-1-0) took a 3-2 victory over the Saints (2-6-1, 0-3-1)in Belmont, NC this afternoon.

 

Belmont Abbey opened the scoring in the 27th minute on a penalty kick by Nick Wyatt.  The Crusaders found the net for their second goal of the game shortly before half time.

 

Less than a minute into the second half, the Saints got on the board with their first goal of the game.  Tying it up in the 63rd minute, Tom Beattie scored on a penalty kick.  In the 80th minute the Crusaders scored off a free kick from 20 yards out making it 3-2 in favor of Belmont Abbey.

 

Limestone’s next game will be against North Greenville College in Tigerville, SC.  That game will get underway at 4:00 p.m.
